Yes, yes they do. I like how you say parents instead of ladies. You know, when I was at school and even recently working as a teacher, it was always ‘the tuckshop ladies’ and it does grate on me. I have honestly never seen a man working at a tuckshop though, although I’m sure they do and are hopefully increasing in number. I once had to do the comforting of the tuckshop parent when one of the asshole schoolkids told her to fuck off because she couldn’t change his $50 note. That was an interesting role-reversal. /tangent

I’d be so miserable from heat if I wasn’t able/willing to go sleeveless. Yay! for fat arm bare/bearing :-)

Last year the shift I was on for the primary school canteen overlapped with a shift filled by one of the dads. I’m not sure if he was the only man on the regular roster but I’ve seen other blokes in the canteen on various occasions too. Don’t think there’s any men on the high school roster though.
